Larkin Poe wypuściły niedawno całkiem fajny singiel zapowiadający nowy album, ale do premiery całości zostało jeszcze kilka miesięcy - posłuchajmy więc dziś rytmicznej, energicznej koncertówki!
Nazwa zespołu to nazwisko pra-pra-pra-pradziadka sióstr Rebecki i Megan Lovell. Jak mówią:
“We used to visit Larkin Poe’s family cabin a lot when we were growing up. It’s now a preserved historical building in the national military park of Chickamauga Battlefield. We learned Larkin Poe drove a wagon during the civil war and had to leave his family in the Poe cabin. The battle surrounded the cabin and the Poe family was forced to flee. When he finally could return, Larkin found his family still alive, but living in a ditch. It’s very interesting to visit that cabin and feel a very real, physical connection to the past.”
A dla dodatkowego smaczku - inny Poe w ich drzewie genealogicznym to ponoć sam Edgar Allan!
“If it were a possibility to have a 24-year-old Edgar Allan Poe in our band, how could we say no? Co-writing lyrics with him would be an intimidating experience - however, we do have a sneaking suspicion that he’d be an absolute drag on the band’s 'happy levels'."
